Logline
When Kenji, a devout Japanese Buddhist handyman, and his sister Maiya move to rural America, their peaceful life is disrupted as Kenji is drawn into the carefree lifestyle of his new American friends. As Kenji’s focus shifts away from his beliefs and his sister, a series of tragic events unfold, challenging their bond and faith in unforeseen ways.
About Film
Izanagi is FlicksFlix first independent movie. Creators and Co-Founders, Kyle Flickinger and Joseph Gross conceived the idea of Izanagi before the birth of FlicksFlix Studios. This film would eventually become the launching pad for the company that would inevitably follow. While navigating their first film, their intention was to create a feature film, but with constraints that any young filmmaker experiences, the duo decided that their work would be best presented in two separate films. Izanagi’s Short Film has been shown around the world at a multitude of film festivals, while the feature film is yet to be seen by an audience.
